How to create and restore a snapshot of a virtual machine

The ONEVDC control panel on RealHOST hosting has one very useful functionality that allows you to create an instant snapshot of the server at a specific point in time.

It is convenient to use this opportunity if you need to roll back the server state to the desired time, after a breakdown, unsuccessful setup, or testing.

Configuration should be done in the ONEVDC cloud server control panel https://onevdc.net

1. To create a snapshot of a virtual machine, choose the virtual machine in the VMs section

2. Go to the Storage tab and click the Snapshot button

3. Specify an arbitrary snapshot name

4. To restore a virtual machine - open the VPS system disk snapshot selector, choose a snapshot and click the Revert button

Please note that to restore the system from a snapshot, the virtual machine must be in a shutdown state.
